The Morgan Library & Museum
Special Projects for the Chief Advancement Officer
Once J. Pierpont Morgan’s private library, the Morgan now welcomes over 400,000 visitors annually to a collection of manuscripts, rare books, music, and drawings spanning 6,000 years. Its distinction is a focus on process: beside the masterpiece, you see the sketch that preceded it. Today, provenance matters more than ever—understanding where a work comes from and how it was made is essential to learning from it.
The Morgan’s challenge is engaging the next generation. If institutions don’t build relationships with young people today, they will lose the support they need to survive tomorrow.
To change that dynamic, I grew the Young Fellows, the Morgan’s patron circle for 21-to-40 year olds, by 50% in one year by experimenting with new programming and building on what brought people back. I also produced the 2026 Young Fellows Summer Gala, which drew record demand. We opened the garden and served martinis in the historic library, selling out with a waitlist of 100+.
I regularly design experiences for very busy people: galas, private tours, intimate dinners, and off-site overnights. I also work across our board of trustees and peer institutions (MoMA, the Met, the Whitney, the Frick, Christie’s, Sotheby’s, the Armory, etc.)
I’ve learned that people remember experiences when you open doors that are usually closed, give the room something worth speaking about, and hold every detail to a high standard.
